The Pella® standard
Pella Certified Contractor. Fewer than 5% of contractors nationwide.

Fewer than 5% of contractors in America carry this badge.

Pella does not hand its name to just anyone. A Pella Certified Contractor has to earn it, then keep earning it. It is the first thing to ask of anyone who will be cutting into the walls of your home, and it is the bar Platinum Experts holds itself to on every job.

  • 01Professionally trained in Pella installation, with required education kept current
  • 02A required minimum of completed Pella jobs before earning the name
  • 03Third-party background checks on Pella jobsite workers
  • 04Insurance purchased and maintained to work as a Certified Contractor
  • 05Industry best practices, a safe workplace and quality workmanship

Requirements as described by Pella Corporation. "Fewer than 5% of contractors nationwide" is Pella's own program claim.

This winter

In January, the whole block compares.

Snow strips a street down to its bones: rooflines, windows, the color of the siding against the white. It is when a renewed house stands out most, and when a tired one shows every year.

Financing

Invest in the house. Keep your cash working.

Financing through

Many of our clients pay outright. Others prefer predictable monthly payments, or a promotional plan timed around a bonus. GreenSky is home-improvement financing offered through contractors like us, and Jesse's office can walk you through it before the consultation or at the table.

  1. 01Get pre-qualified

See the plans you may qualify for in minutes, on your phone. GreenSky describes pre-qualification as a soft inquiry that will not affect your credit score.1

  2. 02Get approved

Choose a plan and submit the formal application. This is when GreenSky runs a hard inquiry, and approval is subject to credit.

  3. 03Get it installed

Your windows, doors or siding go in on your schedule, and you pay monthly under the plan you accepted.

Promotional

Deferred interest

Promotional periods on approved credit. Pay the balance in full before the promotion ends and no interest is charged; if not, interest is charged from the purchase date.

Fixed term

Zero-interest loan

Where offered, 0% APR for a fixed term with equal monthly payments. You know the payment and the payoff date from day one.

Fixed rate

Low monthly payment

Spread a larger project over a longer term at a fixed rate, with a fixed monthly payment that fits your budget.

1 Pre-qualification is available where offered and is not a guarantee of approval. Financing for GreenSky® consumer loan programs is provided by participating lenders, not by Platinum Experts. Subject to credit approval. Plan availability, rates and terms vary by applicant and program, and are disclosed before you accept. GreenSky® is a registered trademark of GreenSky, LLC.

The Platinum process

Measured twice. Ordered once.

  1. Step 01

    Complimentary consultation

At your home or by appointment at the Pella showroom. Jesse walks every room with you, opens every sash and notes what is drafting, sticking or fading.

  2. Step 02

    Design & specification

Profiles, wood species, exterior colors, grille patterns, glass and hardware, chosen with real samples in your light. Working with an architect? We follow the drawings.

  3. Step 03

    A written proposal

One clear document with every opening listed, your options side by side, and financing through GreenSky® if you want it.

  4. Step 04

    Installed by our own crew

Floors covered, furniture protected, every opening sealed and flashed for Chicago winters, and the site cleaned every day before we leave.

  5. Step 05

    The owner's walkthrough

Jesse checks every window and door with you before we call it finished. If it is not right, it is not done.

Step 01 starts here.A complimentary consultation, at your home or the Pella showroom.

Start with step 01
Reviewing window elevations with homeowners on a stone terrace
A note from the owner

I started as a subcontractor on other companies' crews, installing windows and doors in some of the finest homes around Chicago. Those homes taught me what a good installation feels like: a sash that closes like a car door, trim that lines up to the sixteenth, a crew that leaves the house cleaner than they found it.

Platinum Experts is the company I always wanted to work for. We take on fewer homes so I can be on every one of them.

"I want to do it once, and once only."

What fine windows do

Silence the street. Frame the lake.

  1. Quiet the street outside
  2. Frame the view, not the frame
  3. Close like a car door
  4. Keep their color for decades
  5. Look original to the architecture
Questions, answered plainly

Before we meet.

The things homeowners ask us most, before they ever pick up the phone.

Is the consultation really complimentary?

Yes. There is never a charge for a consultation and never an obligation. The written proposal is yours to keep either way.

Will I get a price at the visit?

Yes. After Jesse measures and walks you through the options, you get a written proposal with every opening listed. We do not publish prices online because no two homes are alike.

What does Pella Certified Contractor actually mean?

Pella describes its Certified Contractors as professionally trained, certified and background verified, with a required minimum of completed Pella jobs, maintained insurance and third-party background checks on Pella jobsite workers. Pella says fewer than 5% of contractors nationwide carry it.

Who will be working in my home?

Our own crew, with Jesse on every project. Floors covered, furniture protected, and the site cleaned every day before we leave.

Can you work in the winter?

Ask us. Winter is when drafts and fogged glass are easiest to find, and Jesse will tell you honestly what makes sense to do now and what to schedule for spring.

Can I finance the project?

Yes, through GreenSky®, subject to credit approval. Plan options are explained at your consultation, with no pressure to decide at the table.

Do you work with architects and builders?

Yes. We review rough openings before framing closes, provide Pella specifications and samples for client meetings, and schedule around your trades.
